Methyl salicylate and salicylic acid exhibit keratolytic and astringent action, thus enabling the aeration of deeper layers of the skin. Oregano essential oil has a strong antiseptic effect and eliminates pathogenic microflora.
Usage: the therapy is performed on cattle that are fixed in the hoof correction box. After lifting the leg, it is necessary to clean the hoof and interdigital space. Tissue proliferates that usually occur as a result of infection need to be removed with a sharp riser tip or a sharp spoon (curette) to speed up tissue aeration. The ointment is applied by hand or with a spatula to the affected area, but also to the surrounding skin as well as to the interdigital space. It is recommended that a bandage be used for more severe lesions, as well as that the treatment be repeated after seven days.
